CARE GUIDE
OUR ADVICE FOR LASTING COMFORT & QUALITY
Low Maintenance
TENCEL™ fibres are machine washable and low maintenance. However, washing and drying your delicate sheets correctly is vital if you want them to be long-lasting.
Washing
Gentle wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle. Please use a mild non-bio (liquid) detergent to avoid damaging bleach, brighteners and enzymes. Don’t overdose; your sheets will get stiff if the detergent has not washed out.
Fabric conditioner is not necessary since eucalyptus silk is super soft. Such softeners may interfere with the fibres’ breathability and absorbency. Wash separately from other loads to avoid the delicate fabric getting hooked on zippers or other objects, which can cause pilling. Once the cycle is complete, remove bedding promptly to reduce wrinkles.
Oil Stains
To remove stains caused by natural body oils or moisturisers, soak the stained sheets before placing them in the washing machine. Soak for up to 30 minutes in a solution of mild liquid detergent and water that is just warm to the touch. The ideal ratio is 30-40 ml detergent for a basin filled with water, depending on the water hardness in your area. Rinse well after soaking and gently press the water out. Then wash as usual.
Drying, Ironing & Storing
To preserve the lifetime of the TENCEL™ fibres and colours, we recommend letting your delicate sheets dry naturally (away from direct sunshine) and avoiding tumble-drying. If you must use a dryer, be sure to tumble dry on low, remove bedding when slightly damp, and let it air dry; the excess heat from overdrying can cause ingrained creases and damage the fabric.
Iron on low heat if needed (cool iron / max. 110°C / one dot setting). Don’t let the iron rest on the fabric to avoid burning.
Please make sure your sheets are completely dry before folding. Store your bedding in a dry place, away from damp.
